Shaped freshwater pearls like hearts, rectangles, squares, coins, and stars are created when a shaped piece of shell is inserted into the mollusc and left for a number of years to be coated with nacre. Glorious, rich purple baroque coin pearls with stunning, natural gold markings that I believe are referred to as pondslime. It is very rare to find whole strands of pearls with these markings. Rolled gold round beads between each pearl. Strung on powerpro and knotted. |
