Shaped freshwater pearls like hearts, rectangles, squares, coins, and stars are created when a shaped piece of shell is inserted into the mollusc and left for a number of years to be coated with nacre. These are amazing! I had them in artificial light, they looked like old gold coins. I took them out into daylight and the colour popped out! Lavender drip coin pearls with stunning, natural gold surfaces, (I'm not sure it is pondslime as its all over), some very fine pitting, wonderful irridescent colour in daylight. These remind me of kasumi pearls but in coin shape, fine pitting and deep rich colour. In some light they appear gold, as they move the lovely rich colour glows through. Rolled gold rondels berween each pearl. Matching earrings Item 1172. |
