Shaped freshwater pearls like hearts, rectangles, squares, coins, and stars are created when a shaped piece of shell is inserted into the mollusc and left for a number of years to be coated with nacre. Flower shaped bead nucleus thickly coated in thick silvery white nacre with very pretty pastel overtones. Excellent lustre. Natural colour. Strung on powerpro and knotted with 2mm round rolled gold beads between each pearl. Metal beads are rolled gold. |
